All I can say is WOW!

I was not expecting to receive so much produce in their "lite" box! All this for $14.84 (this includes tax and shipping) and it tasted great! I compared this price to the cost of the same produce at Lee's market place and found that even with their sale items it saved me some money, time and was very fresh! (And I didn't have the temptation to buy things that are not on my list!) ;)

Strawberries, Romaine lettuce, Roma tomatoes, cilantro, green onions, potatoes, radishes, celery, carrots, avocados, cabbage, broccoli, lemons, bananas, and oranges.

Here is a view of the "family" box. It has more quantity but the same variety! For $19.42 (this includes tax and shipping).

It was so easy. I ordered on line at http://click-2-pick.com and printed my receipt. Then went to the pick up point on delivery day and they checked my name off and handed me a box full of produce.

I am going to continue to order every other week, my little family can't use everything in just one week. It did inspire me to make some fun dinners; Cafe Rio sweet pork with lots of cilantro, broccoli and chicken bread braid, and Ryan made a yummy cabbage salad, and it's only Tuesday! :)

Fresh produce

Well I am going to try something new....ordering my produce fresh instead of getting old, over ripe produce from the store....And just wanted to pass the info along if anyone else is interested.

Here is some info about it from the web site:

There is a great new way to get a seasonal mix of fresh fruits and vegetables delivered locally, for a reasonable price.
The produce comes directly from family owned farms or partner farms, no middle-men, so freshness is guaranteed!
Each week, the baskets are delivered to the pick-up points. You order each Monday and by Friday you pick up your fresh produce, take it home, and enjoy!
They deliver these baskets at wholesale prices. Typically you’ll SAVE 25-40% or more then if you bought these items individually in a market.
Actual items in the baskets will vary from week to week, depending on seasonal availability. Baskets come in two sizes, Lite ($12.95)and Family ($17.92) plus sales tax. Order the size and quantity you need to meet your situation. No restrictions!

Well, I am going to order this week and see how it goes. I will post more details this weekend.

If enough people show an interest in North Logan, they will start a pick up point here so we don't have to travel anywhere else.
(The deliveries are coming to Logan and Perry right now, but will eventually spread to all of Cache Valley. They could also deliver to the Wasatch front if there is enough interest).

If anyone is interested in more info the web site is

Our next activity is going to be November 18th at 6:30.  It will be our Holiday dinner.  So mark your calendars and we will see you there!

Thanks

Picnics and Hikes

Hello Sisters!

We have a couple of activities going on this week-

Wednesday we will have a picnic at the park (weather permitting!)  Bring your sack lunches and meet at Meadow View park at 11:30.  We will be switching which parks we go to each week.

Friday we will go on a "hike."  We will meet at the church at 8:00.  We are planning on going on the River Trail, but I am going to check out how high the water is flowing.  I will send another email tomorrow after I head up the canyon. If we don't do that one, maybe we can do the Bonneville lake trail, which is also ok with strollers.  Any other suggestions for hikes? Unless it is raining, plan on meeting at the church at 8:00.  We will plan on doing these every other week, unless you want to do it more!

I know I don't have everyone's emails, so call your friends and neighbors and let them know about the activities.  Send me your email (soccermegan@gmail.com) if you didn't receive one about the activities so I can add you to the list!

Happy Trails!
